C&M was requested by a major oil company to provide a vessel capable of supporting 300 workers for servicing an offshore installation in West Africa. The Group located suitable accommodation modules, and then as the main contractor, provided complete design and project management for the installation of these modules in Mobile, Alabama. From concept to completion the project took ten weeks.

This project involved the supply and installation of climate control system on offshore vessel, utilising the existing panel heater power supply, with a dedicated Distribution Switchboard and removal of the existing panel heating. It also covered the supply and installation of Air Handling Units to treat fresh air and incorporated into the onboard Fire Detection System.

Additional works included the conversion of cabins into 1 bedroom apartments complete with new furniture and lighting, the refurbishment of toilet areas, installation of new lighting throughout the barge, installation of additional smoke detectors, the construction of a reception area and Lounge Bar complete with all fittings, installation of wi-fi throughout barge, the conversion of rooms into internet cafes.

This project required C&M to provide a lighting and emergency lighting upgrade, including the inclusion of a central battery installation and rewire upgrade. C&M completed the project on time and on budget, receiving very favourable feedback from the client and the expectation of more business.

Working as a sub-contractor for major construction company, C&M installed showroom, office and warehouse sockets, lighting and heating systems.
